Everyone at some point regrets selling a vehicle they once owned. Whether it is due to job loss, buying a house etc, we’ve all been there. Not a day goes by that we haven’t regretted selling our Charger Hellcat - but when developing products for vehicles, it’s necessary to sell one vehicle to acquire the next in line for new products.
So when we heard Dodge announce the upcoming release of new 2020 Widebody Charger Hellcat....we just had to order one. Fast forward a few months and it has finally arrived. Introducing our new 2020 “Indigo Blue” Widebody Charger Hellcat.
Ready to rock right out of the box with 0-60 times in the 3.6 sec. range, a 10.96 1/4 mile & top speed of 196 mph - the Charger Hellcat is already a true performance vehicle, so we are going to leave it 100% stock. RIGHT! Hahaha!
Our friends at Forgestar are sending us a set of hot wheels, Jokerz Performance will be porting the snout, Metco has a smaller pulley on the way, VMP Performance is sending a throttle body, our buddy Brent Hughes at DTP Racing will be using HP Tuners software & an NGauge to dial-in the custom tune.....and of course multiple JLT Performance add-ons.
With the arrival of our new 2020 Widebody Charger Hellcat, we wasted no time opening the hood and looking for existing JLT Performance products to bolt-on.
Right out of the box, our JLT Oil Separator, Intercooler & Coolant Tank covers fit perfectly and can be purchased using the links below:
No 3 words are "music to an automotive enthusiasts ears" then seeing “Out For Delivery” for packages coming from performance parts suppliers. Many of our industry partners & friends have signed on to help us with our 2020 Dodge Charger Wide Body project build and parts have started to arrive.
In addition to the JLT Performance products already installed, and the products we've mentioned above, we will soon begin adding a few other go-fast parts that arrived recently. These include a set of Injector Dynamics Fuel Injectors, Innovators West harmonic balancer, MMX exhaust parts, Forced Induction Interchillers Supercharger Plates & Thermal Blanket and a set of Mickey Thompson ET Street R's.
As with all JLT vehicles, we love to take them racing as much as we love driving them on the street. Our new 2020 Dodge Hellcat Charger will be no different.
Forgestar has already stepped up and is sending us an incredible set of wheels for the street, and now Race Star Industries has
The front will feature 17” x 4.5” wheels, and the rear wheels will be 17” x 11” paired with a set of Mickey Thompson ET Street R’s.
A classic debate - “does size matter?”. Well when it comes to aftermarket throttle bodies, we know it does. Our friends at VMP Performance recently sent over a massive 105mm throttle body for our 2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat.
The VMP Performance 105mm Throttle Body features:
- 105 mm bore size vs stock 92 mm bore
- Increases airflow for greater engine efficiency
- Increases throttle response
- Increases horsepower
- Excellent drivability
- Uses factory Hellcat electronics
- Electronics are pre-installed and calibrated
