Q: Will this kit fit with a Strut Tower Brace?
A: No, sorry. It's just too big. Remember Ford removed the brace in 98. I guess it wasn't needed after all.
Q: Are the colors close or exact?
A: I use the same exact paint code from your cars. All kits are base coated and cleared just like your car. Match will be very close or perfect!
Q: What is the MAF adaptor and do I need it?
A: It bolts to the MAF to allow a clamp on filter to be used. If you have the stock intake set up then, yes you need this!
Q: Can I use the Factory air filter?
A: No, it's totally different.
Q: Which is better, the RAI or CAI?
A: This is up to you. The CAI has dyno'd higher on most all test cars.
Q: Will the "Base Kit" bolt up to my stock airbox?
A: No. It was designed to be used with a MAF adaptor and open filter.
Q: Will driving in the rain be a problem with the CAI?
A: Driving in the rain is not an issue. It's the flooded streets and large areas of standing water. If it's 10" or deeper stay away. Just watch those deep puddles!
Q: What kind of power gain should I expect?
A: Check the dyno page.
Q: Will the MAF wires reach in the fender well?
A: Yes they will, no need to cut or extend them. You may need to cut the shielding at the joint to pull out more wire. Then re-tape.
Q: Will have the MAF in the fender well cause a problem?
A: No! It is the best way to be. Some 5.0's and supercharged CAI's have been this way for years. Plus the MAF is designed to meter air with the filter on the end of it. This is why some MAF forward CAI's have idle issues.
Q: What is the apron plate and is it included?
A: It's a plate that covers the factory hole in the apron where the pipe goes through. It helps hold the pipe firm and dress up the area. Yes, it's included.
Q: Are the Black pipes glossy?
A: Yes!
Q: I have a custom engine in my car. Can you make something custom for my needs?
A: YES-Whether you have a A MACH I engine in a 96 GT or a 03 Cobra engine in a 01 Cobra, it is not a problem with us. Please call and we can custom make a kit for your application!
